PREPARE FOR GRADUATE OR PROFESSIONAL SCHOOL

Welcome to our virtual community space for students planning to pursue graduate studies and for advanced degree holders preparing for the next steps in their careers. Whether you’re just exploring whether graduate school is right for you or deep into application season, this space offers guidance on selecting programs, crafting compelling applications, and preparing for entrance exams.

Career Advisors can serve as part of your team when evaluating a graduate or professional school path as part of your career planning. An advisor can help you clarify your “why,” review personal statements, and think through recommendation letters. Meet with a career advisor to talk through your plans, and use these resources to get organized.

Questions to ask before you apply

  • Why do I want to go?
  • What would I study?
  • What is my “return on investment?”
  • Am I a viable candidate?
  • How will I pay for my education?
  • What are the alternatives?
  • Is this the logical next step in my career?
