Ways to Recruit at Richmond
Career Conversations offer students the opportunity to learn from Spider alumni and friends of the University about career paths in a variety of industries and numerous topics relevant to students. These small virtual conversations provide an intimate setting for Spiders to hear about interesting paths taken by our hosts, ask questions regarding the industry in which you work, and make meaningful connections with University of Richmond’s alumni network and beyond. Career Conversations are open to students of all class years and majors, in all stages of their career exploration.
Held in the fall and spring, our Job, Internship & Graduate School fairs let you showcase your company, organization or graduate school. Students in all class years and majors attend to learn about internships, externships and available full-time jobs.
We offer on-campus and virtual information sessions and events for employers looking to engage with a smaller, targeted group of students. These events consist of an organized presentation or coordinated forum that Richmond students attend to learn more about an organization, employment opportunities, recruiting process and timeline.
During these one-on-one informational meetings, students gain greater understanding of your industry, organization, and specific employment opportunities as well ways to develop professional skills and experience. Office Hours can complement interviews, information sessions, fair attendance, or they can be set up as stand-alone events.
Interview Richmond students for full-time, internship, and externship opportunities. We make it easy for you to select and connect with qualified students while coordinating the logistics for you.
Want to give students an inside look at your organization or industry? Spider Shadowing let’s you share your unique experience with students exploring careers by offering a half- or full-day shadowing at your organization. If your company is interested in hosting a UR student during fall or winter break, please complete this form to let us know.
