Think of our Deconstructing Series as mini conferences, with breakout sessions and networking opportunities, that deep dive into the major functional areas within an industry.

JOB, INTERNSHIP, & GRADUATE SCHOOL FAIRS

Taking place both in fall and spring, the fairs feature representatives from over 50 organizations, in a variety of industries, who are there to answer your questions and recruit for internships, full-time, and graduate school opportunities.

Each of the three undergraduate schools at Richmond offer a unique professional development experience: A&S NEXT, Jepson Edge, and Q-Camp. These programs allow students to explore career possibilities, develop meaningful connections with alumni, build critical skills for future success, and practice articulating their personal story to key audiences.

SPIDER ROAD TRIPS

Hit the road with us to visit employers in major metropolitan areas, like New York City and Silicon Valley, to learn first-hand what it's like to work in an industry. The trips are paired with networking receptions to allow students to meet alumni from the area.

SPIDER SHADOWING

Experience career paths through the eyes of Spider alumni with the Spider Shadowing program. Job shadowing is an impactful way to learn about an industry, career path, or specific organization through direct exposure to the people, day-to-day work, and culture of a job.
