As the Senior Associate Director for Alumni & Career Services, Beth Chancy assists students with their unique career development needs regarding general career advice/major exploration, decision making, and strategies/tools for the job and internship search. Her area of industry focus includes government, policy, law and consulting. In addition, she teaches a career course, conducts workshops and manages the technology resources in the office.
Beth joined the Career Services advising team in 2008. Prior to coming to Richmond, she worked for Virginia Commonwealth University, the College of William and Mary, the University of Denver and the University of Rhode Island. She graduated, with a BA in English, from the College of William and Mary and worked for First North American National Bank (Circuit City) before pursuing a master’s degree in Human Development, Counseling, and Family studies with a concentration in College Student Personnel from the University of Rhode Island.
