To help you have confidence that you’re sharing material 1) conveys your many strengths and talents and 2) meets standards and expectations out in the wider world, the career team has created a the “resume ready” initiative. You can earn the “resume ready” designation for your document in two ways.

Create your resume using Resume Resources, including the chronological resume rubric guidelines.
- Build your resume or start with an AI Resume Review to see how your resume will be viewed by an ATS (Applicant Tracking System) and receive tips for improvement within minutes with our virtual Resume platform BigResume. Your goal is to score a Gold on your resume through this system.
- From the top toolbar, choose BigResume
- If you are just starting, choose Resume Templates to download UR-specific templates
- If you are ready to scan a resume, choose Scan Resume from the dropdown
- Each user has up to five scans daily and those reset at midnight (EST)
- From the top toolbar, choose BigResume
- Meet with a staff member (by appointment or during drop-ins) and score 100% on the Chronological Resume Rubric (Drop-in hours: 2-4 pm THC 306 (Fall an Spring semesters when class is in session).
